A fabulous pair of antique Victorian celestial drop earrings from the late 19th Century depicting four beautiful stars fashioned in 15ct gold and pave set with polished sky-blue turquoise across the front.
Celestial jewellery became increasingly sought after during the 19th Century as people began to look up at the stars and heavens once more with renewed fascination. Stars were worn as a good luck charm and have been enhanced with turquoise which is also believed to bring luck and good fortune.
They have remained in pristine condition and are an eye-catching pair that look magnificent dangling from each ear.
