The natural split - Pearls have a wonderful lustre with a rich creamy tone, they are lovely lustrous and natural.
Paste is a heavy, very transparent flint glass that stimulates the fire and brilliance of gemstones because it has relatively high indices of refraction and strong dispersion, the Romans in particular were very skilful in the production of coloured glass pastes.
The necklace is steeped in Victorian history, the workmanship is absolutely beautiful all round.
